West Bengal is the most populated state in India and presently it is the most talked about state of the nation. With a boon of huge land area and man power it also has a bane of political controversy & disputes.

India’s leading industrialist Mr.Ratan Tata constructed a factory for the production of world’s cheapest car named “Nano” but before it could be launched this factory met with hurdles of controversial matters relating to the forceful acquisition of land which is supported by a group of farmers of Singur, a village in West Bengal.

The political disputes between the ruling party CPM and its leading opponent’s party TMC obstructs the flow of Industrialization and since 2007 this issue is facing loads of problems. The chief Minister of West Bengal supports the idea of Tata Motors to work in Singur but the opponent party TMC obstructs the growth of Tata Motors. With an investment of 1500 crores, Tatas are working hard to continue their stay in the state but now after facing huge problems for staying in the state, they have decided to pack their bags and laeve West Bengal.

West Bengal CM Mr. Buddhadeb Bhattacharya is dealing with the situation in a tactful manner along with industry minister Mr. Nirupam Sen and governor Mr.Gopal Krishna Gandhi but till date the issue has not yet been resolved. With the progressing reluctance from Industrialization, the state is getting prone to lack of industrial opportunities! Leading Multi National Companies like Infosys are re-thinking of coming to West Bengal which means that the rural sector may increase but the industrial sector is decreasing in this state.

It has become a dark spot in India and if it continues to close the doors for industrial opportunities then the scope for progress of the state and employment opportunities will be lost!It is a high time for West Bengal to re- think what they really want- is it their improvement or disaster.
